The problem with blogging for me is that I have too much to say. I need a topic about which I have a little bit to say every day, rather than an entire dissertation every 2 or 3 weeks like I do on Swing Scene.

Excellent observation. It's easier to type a little something everyday than write an essay every two weeks, plus it's probably better for a blog anyway to be updated so regularly.
